Welcome To the Roadmap Lecture!

Before you get started, you may want to read the instructions below to verify that the lecture will run on your machine, and make any adjustments necessary. Once you've done that, then you might also want to read the paragraph at the bottom of the page, "How To Use This Roadmap Lecture."

Compatibility

This product has been tested on both Safari and Firefox on the Mac and on both Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows. Let's check that your web browser is set up correctly to run the Roadmap lecture. You need two things:

1) You must have JavaScript enabled on your web browser. I'm checking now . . .

2) You must have an audio player enabled on your web browser. An audio controller should be displayed just below this paragraph. If you see it, please play the short sound clip to test that it works correctly.

If you see a question mark instead of an audio player, you should visit the Quicktime web site to download your FREE audio player now.

How to Use This Roadmap Lecture

The lecture runs inside your web browser. You'll be able to see all the notes and listen to all the audio clips as many times as you want. The lecture is organized as a set of slides. For each slide, there is one audio clip. You can click on any slide. If you set the Autoplay Audio checkbox, the audio will start up automatically each time you go to a new slide. Of course, you can replay it again by manually clicking on the audio player. When you stop listening for the day, the software will remember the slide where you stopped and will start again at that point the next time you start up the program.

About Randy Ingermanson

Randy Ingermanson

Randy earned a Ph.D. in physics at U.C. Berkeley, which is a wretchedly lame excuse for people to call him " America's Mad Professor of Fiction Writing," but life isn't always fair. He is the award-winning author of six novels and one non-fiction book.

Randy publishes the world’s largest electronic magazine on the craft of writing fiction, the FREE monthly Advanced Fiction Writing E-zine. His ultimate goal is to become Supreme Dictator for Life and First Tiger and to achieve Total World Domination.
