The YA market seems to be flooded with "chosen ones" and orphaned children who rise up to save the world. You mentioned a few days ago that there are very few original stories, but should these characters be avoided?

&lt;strong&gt;Randy sez&lt;/strong&gt;: I'd say to write the story that's burning a hole in your gut, whether there's been a glut of stories like that or not. It's nice to be original, but it's way more important to write with passion.</description>
