Great e-zine, as always. It is good to remind us to do the ONE THING today that will move us closer to our dreams. I just added something to my To Do list, and moved it to the top! A writer friend and I were just yesterday reviewing our goals from your seminar last year, and your advice fits right in.

Randy,

You continue to delight me. I love Sam. What he had to say relates to Chip Macgregor's notes about the movie "Fireproof."

So let me expound a moment. Because we do what we do for the glory of God, we are called upon to be better technicians than other writers. Working for God demands that we do the very best we can and continue to improve with practice and time.

And just because I am writer number 500 out of Sam's 500, it doesn't give me leave to do less than my very best.

Thank you, Randy, for helping us improve on many levels.

Grace and peace,
Judith

Sometimes it's good to know you're on the right track. No - make that ALL the time, it's good to know you're on the right track. Your encouragement, Randy, to do the one thing that heads us toward our dream is just what I needed.

After teaching all day, I go home and shoot out a query to a children's book agent - day after day after day. I have 10 more to go on my first list, and then I'll make a new list and start sending queries again. I tweak each query to fit the agent, and I find that after all that tweaking, my letters get better.

I know the agents won't come knocking on my door, so I'm knocking on theirs - and feeling like I'm actually doing something toward my goal of publishing a middle-grade novel.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I also enjoyed the ezine. It was quite timely as I also crossed something off my to-do list: I created my very own website to begin marketing my writing. Wahoo!
