About Blogger & FTP: Once you gave a blogger account, when you "create a blog" there's a link that takes you to "Advanced Blog Setup" Where you can enter all the technical info necessary for blogger to move the files onto your server.

Oops, I forgot something. It's also worth noting that a great many of the popular web hosts have a way to automatically install wordpress through the click of a button, rather than work with the databases and such yourself.
I know you want to change gears tomorrow, but if Liz comes back with the how-to on using Blogger but storing the pages on your website, please post it. I would love to be able to do that. It sounds like an easier solution than changing from Blogger to WordPress. Thanks for this information, Randy!

Hi Randy. I work for Google on the Blogger Help boards as a certified Blog*Star...LOL...a Google term from expert user. There are two ways to post to Blogger outside of having an actual Blogger blog.

1) Use a custom domain:
http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=55373&query=domain&topic=&type=f

2) Use FTP to post and host your blog on your own site and use the great links at the bottom of this post for additional info:
http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=41438

Hope this helps explain!

Something I found interesting is that many workplaces block their employees from going out to Blog sites (as well as eBay or eTrade, etc). I can access this site because the word "blog" is the name of the directory - not in the www.---.com address. Something to keep in mind if you want even more people to be able to peruse your sites and blogs: don't have it look like a blog site to an Internet Browser.
Just my two cents.
Love this site and it's info. Thanks.

Whoops. That www site actually seems to point somewhere (I don't know where). I should have just put www.advancedfictionwriting.com instead.
Sorry.
